Soldier mom returns to surprise daughter at a Wisconsin football game

The life of military personnel is not very simple. They have to spend days away from home and their near and dear ones. Their lives are in constant danger, and they seldom get leaves from their duties.

However, a US military Captain recently thanked her stars for being able to be a part of a precious moment in her daughter’s life. Captain Jane Renee Jr. Lund got permission to surprise her daughter Bella at Camp Randall in Madison, Wisconsin.

Captain Lund was a veterinarian at the US Army Reserve. She was posted in Southern Afghanistan in the Kandahar province for almost six months. She reached the US a week ago and landed in Madison nearly thirty hours ago.

Captain Lund was originally from Wausau, Wisconsin. She completed her school in Stevens Point in vet school and her Masters in Madison. She revealed that the last time she saw her 13-year-old daughter was in April, around her birthday.

Her sudden meeting with her daughter was surreal for the US Army Captain. She wanted to run over to her daughter and grab her. Instead, however, she tried to make the moment special for Bella.

The announcer at the football game announced the name of Bella and revealed that she was an avid Badgers fan. He also spoke a bit about Captain Lund to help the spectators know them better. Then, the mascot of the Wisconsin Badgers helped Bella wave at the crowd.

After a moment, when Bella turned to face her mother, Captain Lund ran toward her daughter. This also prompted Bella to run to her mom. Captain Lund grabbed her daughter and lifted her. It was a magical moment for the mother-daughter duo in front of 80,000 people at the stadium.
