Susan Boyle Wins Golden Buzzer On America’s Got Talent: The Champions

The audience was treated to a thrilling night on  “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” performance where the show brings together the very best and most popular acts discovered in all the past seasons from all of the “Got Talent” worldwide franchises.

When one of the favorite performers of all time from “Britain’s Got Talent” came onto the stage, the audience was up on its feet going wild, treating the artist to a rousing welcome. That artist was none other than, Susan Boyle.

Susan Boyle was the unexpected outsider in 2009’s Season 3, where she was quite literally an overnight sensation. She went right through to win runner-up place that year. Since then, her incredible talent has forged a stellar recording career. She has sold more than 20 million records and has inspired many other ordinary people to follow their dreams.

In an interview, Susan Boyle revealed that her life had absolutely changed since that debut in 2009. She said, “I see myself as a champion for people who don’t have a voice. To inspire them.”

When asked about her scheduled appearance on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, Boyle replied, “This time I’ve got something to prove. I’d love to win.”

After Simon Cowell welcomed her to “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, Susan began her cover of the Rolling Stones iconic song, “Wild Horses”. Looking lovely in an elegant gown and an immaculate hairstyle, Boyle exuded a serene confidence she didn’t have back in 2009.

Accompanied simply by a piano, Susan sang the haunting song more perfectly than I have ever heard it performed before. At first, the entire stadium was hushed but the cheering began even before she was finished. At the end of the performance, the judges and the wildly applauding audience gave Boyle a standing ovation.

The judges were unanimous in their praise for the singer. Simon Cowell said, “I’m beyond thrilled that you are here tonight”. Howie Mandel told Boyle, “You are what this show is.” Mel B said, “What an honor to be sitting here, listening to your angelic voice.” She was so moved by the performance that she hit the golden buzzer to send Boyle straight through to the semi-finals.

The host, Terry Crews, asked her, “How do you feel?” In a sweet, small voice, the little Scottish songstress replied, “Very happy and very humble.” A classy lady, no doubt about it.
