The images capture a father assisting his wife as she delivered their twins in a bathtub at home. The babies, a boy and a girl, were born so quickly that the couple’s birthing team did not arrive in time. The parents had previously delivered their older child at home and knew what to do.

Baker assisted the couple in preparing a space for the birth and taking photographs. The parents were calm, peaceful, and brought their babies into the world effortlessly.

The second baby was born en caul, which only happens in about one in every 80,000 deliveries. The parents had 30 minutes of bonding time with Baby A before Baby B was born still inside the amniotic sac.

The mother removed the sac, and the father turned the baby to release the nuchal cord before handing him to the mother. The atmosphere was peaceful and joyful.
