A 40-year-old single woman chose to have a ƄeƄé on her own

This woman demonstrates that motherhood is strength. Without a partner or support, she made the decision to ꜰᴇʀᴛɪʟɪᴢᴇ with ᴅᴏɴᴏʀ sᴘᴇʀᴍ. Although the ƄeƄé was ᴅɪᴀɢɴᴏsᴇᴅ with Dᴏᴡɴ’s sʏɴᴅʀᴏᴍᴇ a few weeks later, he has no regrets. His life is complete.

Michele Elizaga made the decision to be a mother when she turned 40 years old. She didn’t have a long-term relationship with anyone, but she felt that she was missing something. And it was not an ᴀssociation. Michele realized at that moment from hers that, above all else, she wanted to be a mother.

“I was single for most of my adult life and never gave up hope of getting married. But as she got me closer and closer to 40 and then I turned 40, she asked me if I would ever have children. I knew that my chances of becoming a mother diminished with age.”

Michele writes that it was another woman who opened up this possibility for her. During one of her meetings with a friend, Michele heard about her.

And as she recounts, these words revealed something so deep inside her that her only response was her tears. It was a friend who suggested the solution of becoming a mother without having to meet a man.

The first step was to find a ꜰᴇʀᴛɪʟɪᴛʏ ᴄʟɪɴɪᴄ. The doctors gave him few possibilities and suggested preparing for many tests.

Michele writes about her firm belief that she would succeed and the instinct that followed. I knew that his financial resources and time for probationary years were not enough. So, as she writes:

“With a sᴇᴍᴇɴ and all ɪɴɪᴛɪᴀʟ ʟᴀʙ ᴛᴇ ᴛᴇ ᴛᴇ ᴛᴇ ᴛᴇ ᴛᴇSᴛ ʋIEN, IƅA a soмeterмe a ɪɴᴛʀᴀᴜᴛᴇʀɪɴᴇ ɪɴsᴇᴍɪɴ.ᴏᴪɪ.

Simple procedure, it took less than ten minutes and I was sent home with the pregnancy test date.

He did the test one day before the suggested recommendations. A few seconds after its execution, ʋi two lines. I fell to my knees in the Ƅyear and thanked God”

After 12 weeks of pregnancy, after genetic testing, Michele was ᴅɪᴀɢɴᴏsᴇᴅ with: It’s a boy, he has the sʏɴᴅʀᴏᴍᴇ of Dᴏᴡɴ. He cried for a long time, but he had no doubt that he would keep the ƄeƄé.

“I dreamed of a natural birth. However, my birth, for the good of ʀɪsᴋ and my age, was full of ups and downs. My ƄeƄé’s heart rate held steady, then slowed. He had a vision of a natural birth on the horizon, but he made the decision to perform a ᴄᴀᴇsᴀʀᴇᴀɴ sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ. I clearly remember going to ᴏᴘᴇʀᴀᴛɪɴɢ’s room, holding my friend’s hand and asking her a question: Will I lose my son?

She hasn’t lost. Matthew was rushed to the ICU, he stayed in the hospital for seven long weeks and you know him. They overʋiʋeverything, and Michele never left him one step. “All this time I thought I chose Matthew, but knowing that he chose me was the greatest source of my strength.”
