A drunk woman left her car at the restaurant. The next day she found this note on the windshield of her car ..

After spending time with her husband, Paula Gerzlak-Schultz decided to leave her car at the restaurant and take a taxi home to avoid driving after consuming alcohol.

If you ever left your car somewhere at night, you probably know the fear of returning to the place and seeing a report on the windshield, an angry note from a business owner, or in worse cases… seeing that the car isn’t there at all because it was towed or god forbid stolen..

When Paula returned to the ‘Original Joes’ restaurant, in Alberta, Canada, to get into her car the next day, she was surprised to find that none of these dire scenarios had happened. Instead, she discovered a heartwarming and moving note from the restaurant on the car windshield.

Paula shared the note on Facebook, and it went viral with more than 10,000 shares and 30,000 likes.

Here’s what the note said..

Dear Original Joe’s guest,

Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight. I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is a voucher good for 1 lb of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept the voucher as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.

The wonderful and moving note was left by Jay McLean, one of the managers of the restaurant.

McLean said he started leaving notes on cars to encourage others not to drink and drive. He fights drunk driving with a good heart and a good example.
