Carolina Giraldelli, a mother from Brazil, wants her 13-month-old son, Enzo, to know that she is his biggest supporter despite the noticeable birthmark on his face. Enzo was born with a benign congenital melanocytic nevus, which can occur in the womb at an early stage of development.
Giraldelli said she noticed the birthmark and made the decision to become a stronger person from that point on, who is fearless, brave, and prepared to face any challenge unexpectedly put in front of her son.
Recently, Giraldelli had a birthmark painted on her face by a cosmetic artist that looked almost identical to her son’s birthmark. She then activated the camera to record her son’s first encounter with her. She told SWNS that it was difficult to watch and feel society’s eyes flicker with looks of pity, scorn, fear, and occasionally disgust toward her son.
Carolina and her husband made a significant gesture one day to give little Enzo the impression that he is always accepted by people exactly for who he is and who has nothing different or less.
She went to a makeup artist and had a birthmark applied that covered a portion of her forehead and nose, identical to the one her son Enzo was born with.
Carolina did not care that other people looked at her suspiciously, curiously, or even with fear because she knew there was nothing wrong with being born with a birthmark similar to little Enzo’s, and that wearing this makeup on her face was one of the most courageous and supportive things she could have done.
There is nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her child, and Carolina Giraldelli’s story with her adorable son Enzo just serves to reinforce this.
